WHY I TRAINED AS A THERAPIST

At 13 I developed a form of OCD that back in the early nineties wasn't spoken about ('Pure-O') . It was terrifying and in some ways it was the end of my childhood. Simultaneously, my friends at school all gravitated towards me for help with their problems. The backdrop to all this was being brought up in a family who, like most families, couldn't have afforded private therapy. I realised even then that supporting people and helping them to improve their lives was really straightforward and didn't have to cost much. In 2016 I was diagnosed with ASD.

Key information

I work in a person-centred way. I am trained in Counselling and Coaching (and training) and I am fully insured to practice in these areas.

Sessions last 60 minutes. I can be flexible if you require longer. Sessions are taken weekly or fortnightly. (Some people find weekly too intense or too expensive).

Sessions can be booked by emailing me or using my contact form. I am bilingual (French).

I am an independent counsellor. In the unlikely event you have a grievance then you would address this to my Supervisor (BACP & UKCP registered).

I hold the 90-hrs certificate in Counselling (Iron Mill Institute) and a Cetificate in Psychosynthesis Studies (French School of Psychosynthesis). I am currently studying the (post-qualifying) Diploma in Clinical and Pastoral Counselling (DipCPC) from the Institute of Counselling, validated by Glasgow Caledonian University. I have done a great deal of CPD in Psychosynthesis (French School of Psychosynthesis and Psychosynthesis Education Trust); Hidden Disabilities (Dylsexia Action), Domestic Violence Survivor Support (Rape Crisis and Diversity Trust), including for the LGBTQIPA community. I am soon to train as an Own My Life group facilitator.
