More About Brainspotting

Brainspotting is a therapeutic technique that helps individuals to access and process trauma, emotions, and deep psychological issues through fixed eye positions. For neurodivergent people— including those with autism, ADHD, or sensory processing differences—brainspotting offers a non-verbal, body-based approach that allows access to trauma that might otherwise be difficult to access. As an alternative to traditional talk therapy, it can be especially effective for those who struggle to articulate emotions. Brainspotting supports emotional regulation, reduces anxiety, and fosters resilience by accessing the brain’s subcortical areas. Brainspotting can be tailored to individual sensory and cognitive needs, providing a safe, affirming space for healing and self-discovery.
