Absolutely not! Our Yoga teacher, Vicky, has lots of experience teaching beginners and will be creating a range of classes for us to enjoy. Our aim with Unplugged is to create a space where neurodivergent people can explore the typical practices of mindfulness, meditation, yoga and movement without worrying about any of the challenges that come with our differences. In practical terms, that means clear guidance in movement sessions, alternatives to the traditions of stillness and quiet when focussing on mindfulness, and invitations to experiment throughout the weekend to find the ways your body and mind work best together.
-
No. Although our programme will be designed with neurodiversity, and in particular autism, ADHD and dyspraxia in mind, we believe there are benefits to our approach that can be enjoyed by anyone. We particularly welcome partners and friends who wish to enjoy a retreat with someone who identifies as neurodivergent, and our commitment is to ensuring that no one feels ‘othered’ during our events.

Staylittle is a fully accessible venue, with some ground floor rooms for those with mobility difficulties. Please contact Anthony to discuss any particular needs or questions you might have about the movement and body work activities planned for the retreat.
-
Our retreat venue, Staylittle in Wales, has comfortable accommodation for 36 people in shared rooms. Although some rooms have up to 6 beds, we restrict numbers to ensure that every guest has a semi-private space within their shared room, with 2 or 3 people sharing in bigger rooms. You can see photographs of the lodge and bedrooms here : Group Accommodation | The Lodge, Staylittle | Wales. Unless you are travelling with a friend, partner or someone you would like to share a space with, we will allocate your room for when you arrive, and introduce you to the person you will share with.
-
All of your meals will be prepared by our team, and for Step into Spring retreats our menu will be entirely vegetarian/vegan. We have lots of experience catering for different needs, and you will be asked about any allergies or intolerances. Our menus are varied, but will include a self-service breakfast of cereals, fruit and toast; lunchtime meals which might include soups and salads; and a two course dinner which might include pasta, curry or similar dishes.
There is a tea and coffee station just to the side of the lounge area which we will keep stocked with a variety of teas, fresh coffee, water and snacks for you to help yourself to at any point during your stay. We are always open to new ideas for your favourite ADHD snack!

Staylittle is located in mid-Wales, offering stunning views of the mountains by day and dark skys at night. If travelling by car, the postcode is SY19 7BU, which will take you to the village and close to the venue. We will provide further details as part of your welcome pack before your retreat.
If travelling by train, there are two stations nearby. Both Caersws and Machynlleth are approx. 15 minutes away. It's roughly a 4 hour journey from central London changing at Birmingham New Street if travelling from South East. Trains run every hour from Shrewsbury. For up to date coach and rail timetables visit Trainline.

Your welcome pack, which you will receive approximately 4 weeks before your retreat, will include a list of essentials and ‘good idea’ items to bring with you. You are welcome to bring your yoga mat if you have one, but everything you need to enjoy the movement sessions will be provided for you.
