Wired Differently Turned 5: A Celebration of Connection, Courage & Neurodivergent Brilliance

On August 1st, the heart of Soho pulsed with colour, conversation, and community as Wired Differently marked its fifth birthday at the Little Violet Door. What unfolded was far more than a party, it was a powerful celebration of neurodivergent-led innovation, authentic connection, and the kind of energy that lingers long after the party fades.

From the moment guests arrived, the atmosphere was electric. Interactive stalls showcased ND-friendly stim toys and creative tools, speakers shared insights that moved people, and conversations sparked ideas that will ripple across workplaces, communities, and personal journeys.

“Such an epic event! Loved everyone I met, and so much information shared that I'll be processing for weeks!”

“I felt I didn’t need to mask any part of myself—no ‘professional mode’ needed.”

“My nervous system feels like it’s just spent two weeks in the Maldives, minus the airport stress.”

The afternoon was packed with standout moments—from Kazi Quinton’s forensic-meets-copywriting brilliance to Gary Campbell’s regulating techniques that left attendees feeling truly seen. Leighanne Stephen’s from Project You Academy reframed grey areas with clarity, and Anthony Gribben-Lisle’s risk-evaluation framework stuck with many: “Is it true? Is it likely? Is it impactful?”

Guests from Sanofi, nooh Studios, and beyond shared how the event bridged neurodivergence with everything from wellbeing and fitness to digital representation and leadership. One attendee summed it up beautifully:

“Meeting people like Kazi and Sara-Louise reminds me that when skills meet purpose, the results are electric.”

The fidget critters from XW3D were a hit, used not just for fun, but as powerful tools for self-regulation throughout the day.

As Wired Differently continues to grow, this milestone event was a reminder of what happens when we create spaces that honour difference, invite vulnerability, and celebrate the full spectrum of human brilliance.

To everyone who joined us: thank you. You made this birthday unforgettable.
